Milwaukee Urban Gardens is a nonprofit land trust dedicated to protect, create and develop community gardens and open green space in Milwaukee.

Community Garden Collective:

The Community Garden Collective is a group of individuals that meet four times through out the year to share resources and network with other gardening enthusiasts. Milwaukee Urban Gardens will coordinate an event schedule and act as a communication link between community organizations, neighborhood residents, and active gardeners. The purpose of the Community Garden Collective is to bring people from different communities together to share innovative ideas, stories, and gardening expertise.

Community Gardening Workshops and Training Programs:

Milwaukee Urban Garden will provide hands-on training and interactive workshops that focus on basic gardening skills for Milwaukee residents. Throughout the growing season MUG volunteers will visit local community garden sites to facilitate workshops on sustainable growing and food production techniques.

Meet Me in the Garden:

Families, community members, and neighborhood children, are invited to participate in the fun gardening events and activities that take place throughout the growing season. Milwaukee Urban Gardens will coordinate an event schedule featuring events at the following locations: Hocking Heritage Garden, Spencer Garden, Garden Park, Greenfolks Garden and Village Roots Garden.
